Membership Program
The Forest Bird Society largely relies on the generosity of Individuals as well as Corporations and Governments in order to carry out its conservation programs. There are several ways for individuals to contribute and assist us in preserving our forests and the birds that inhabit them.
We expect to have a by-annual newsletter beginning with the first issue to come out in June 2002, our first year of Operation as a Non-Profit Organization. Please read thru our membership programs and participate. If your assistance is through a donation from either the United States or Canada, your contributions will be tax-deductible. Thank you for your support.
Regular Membership Programs:
- You can become a regular member by sending a check or money order for an annual fee or USD 25.00 or CAD 40.00 for which you will receive a Membership Certificate, plus our Newsletter and exiting news about what is going on in the world of forest and bird conservation. Come join us. Check our Membership Application.
- You can also become a regular member through our “Volunteers Program”, which will require you to commit at least 15 hours a week of your time to the Society’s Activities. This program requires a commitment of at least 4 months and volunteers for now must live in either the United States or Canada. Please send us an email for more information on this program.
Lifetime Membership:
You can become a Lifetime Regular Member by a donation of USD 1,000.00 or CAD 1,600.00 for which you will receive our Newsletter and news about what’s going on in the world of forest and bird conservation as long as the Society is in Operation. Come join us. Check our Membership Application.
Special Honorary Membership
Those Individuals or Organizations who have provided an outstanding contribution to The Forest Bird Society, will be given that distinction by the Board of Directors.
NOTE: The donation forms will be posted at a later date but you can always send us a letter with your contribution.
